Railway employees taking loan from the bank will get the facility of EMI ranging from 12 months to 60 months to repay the loan. Employees can choose the EMI as per their convenience and repay the loan amount accordingly.
Jagran Correspondent, Dhanbad. Good news related to railway employees. Now they will be allowed to take one lakh more loan from the bank. Permission has been given to increase the loan amount to the employees from four lakhs to five lakhs. Along with this, they will also get 1% rebate in interest. The new system is going to come into effect from September 1. The employees of Dhanbad will get the benefit of this facility in the former Railway Employees Sahakari Bank Limited of Dhanbad railway station.
Consensus was made in February
The 95th Annual General Meeting of the Eastern Railway Employees Sahakari Bank Limited was held in February. During that time it was agreed that the loan amount to the railway employees from the bank should be increased from four lakhs to six lakhs. According to the provision of the Reserve Bank of India, the board of the bank decided that the loan amount would be given up to five lakhs. The bylaws related to it were also approved by the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies.
EMI from 12 to 60 months

Employees can choose the EMI as per their convenience and repay the loan amount accordingly. With this, there will not be much pressure on the employees to repay the loan amount and will be able to repay the loan in installments.

Somen Dutta, director of Dhanbad Division of Co-operative Bank and representative of East Central Railway Employees Union, NK Khawas, media in-charge of the union and Abhik Kumar Ghosh, branch manager of the bank, told that some rules of the bank are being changed from September 1. A letter in this regard has been issued from the headquarter of the bank, Kolkata.
The bank has a branch in Dhanbad Station Building. There too the new rules will be applicable from September 1. Employees will get benefit from changes in the bank. Employees who are educating their children outside or preparing for daughter’s marriage. They will get a lot of relief.
