It is mandatory to make these dishes in the pantry car

According to the information received from the Ministry of Railways, it is mandatory to cook standard casserole meal, biryani and public food in the pantry car. The Standard Casserole Meal has a choice of Veg Casserole Meal, Egg Casserole Meal and Chicken Casserole Meal. Biryani has the option of Veg Biryani, Egg Biryani and Chicken Biryani. Poori, vegetables and pickles are given in the packet of Janata food. It is also necessary to make readymade tea for this.

What Happens in a Standard Veg Meal

A standard veg meal contains 150 grams of plain rice. It should be packaged in an aluminum casserole. Along with this, two parathas or four rotis should be packed in wrappers. Its weight should not be less than 100 grams. Also 150 grams of thick lentils should be packed in casserole and 100 grams of seasonal vegetables are essential. Apart from this, a cup of 80 grams curd and 12 grams of pickle will also be given. The tray in which this food will be served will also include a napkin and a disposable spoon. If this meal is taken in the station, then its cost will be taken 70 rupees and if you take it in the moving train then its cost will be 80 rupees.

What happens in standard non veg meal

A plate of standard non-veg meal egg curry contains 150 grams of plain rice and two parathas or four rotis, which should weigh 100 grams. Along with this, it is also necessary to have 150 grams of thick lentils, two eggs of egg curry, which weighs 150 grams. In this plate also 80 grams of curd and 12 grams of pickle will be available. This food tray will also hold a napkin and a disposable spoon. The cost of this thali is Rs.80 in a restaurant located at the station and Rs.90 in a moving train. It also has a chicken version. Chicken plate has chicken instead of egg curry. The plate containing chicken should contain 60 grams of boneless chicken and 90 grams of gravy. Chicken thali costs Rs 120 in the station restaurant and Rs 130 in the train.

Biryani also has option

For passengers who do not want standard meals, there is also an option of biryani in the moving train. It is mandatory to make three types of veg biryani in the pantry car. Janta food will be available in 15-20 rupees

The weight of these puris should be at least 175 grams. It should be accompanied by a sachet of 150 grams dry potato vegetable and 15 grams pickle. If a passenger buys a packet of Janta food in a restaurant located at the station, then its cost will be Rs 15. If this packet is bought in a moving train, then it will cost Rs 20.

What to do if this food is not found in the train

Most passengers complain that contractors sell ala carta food in exchange for standard casserole meals on a moving train. These foods are expensive. When passengers do not get the option of standard meal, then they will be compelled to buy expensive food and eat it. In such a situation, there is no question of getting public food.
