For the convenience of the passengers, the Railways has run many Diwali and Chhath special trains for states like UP-Bihar, but due to the large number of passengers, there is a problem in getting the confirmed tickets. In the coming days, crowds of people will gather at railway stations like Delhi (New Delhi Station), Ghaziabad, Sahibabad Junction.

Taking a big step to control the crowd, the railways has increased the price of platform ticket up to 3 times. Now a ticket available for Rs 10 is being available for Rs 30.

During Diwali and Chhath, a large number of people travel from these stations to states like UP-Bihar.

Railway Police is running special campaign

In order to control the crowd at Indian railway stations, along with increasing the price of platform tickets, many other campaigns are being run. RPF is increasing the number of personnel so that passengers do not face any kind of trouble at the railway station during festivals.

Earlier, four constables were stationed on the platform of Ghaziabad, whose number has now been increased to 12. This will help in managing the rush of passengers. Along with this, for the convenience of the passengers, passengers will be monitored outside the railway station with a metal detector.

Number of trains increased at Ghaziabad railway station

In normal days, more than 50 trains from UP, Bihar and West Bengal arrive at Ghaziabad railway station, but during the festive season of Diwali – Chhath, the number of passengers increases by almost 10 times. In such a situation, at least 20 special trains are operated from Ghaziabad Railway Station to control the crowd at New Delhi Railway Station.

In such a situation, the crowd of people can be controlled and so that more people do not come to the railway station, the railway has increased the price of platform ticket from Rs 10 to Rs 30. Such new prices will be applicable till 30 October 2022. After this, platform tickets will be available at the railway station at the old rate.
