Decision taken in view of declining earnings

But the Railway Minister has refused to give it again. He said that the revenue of Railways for 2020-21 was less than the revenue of 2019-20. Keeping in mind the declining earnings of the Railways, this decision has been taken.
These passengers will get discount
Let us tell you that when the services for railway passengers were resumed during Corona, then the discount on the ticket was stopped. But some special category people got discount on rent and started again. In these, 4 categories of disabled people, 11 patients suffering from serious diseases and students were getting concession in rent.
How much discount did senior citizens get?
Significantly, in all trains of Indian Railways, senior citizens used to get a concession of up to 50 percent on the first tickets of Corona. Let us tell you that men above the age of 60 and women above the age of 58 years are kept in the category of senior citizens in the railways. Before the Corona era, in all Mail Express trains including Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Duronto, men were given 40 percent discount on base fare and women 50 percent in base fare.
