Indian Railway News Railway passengers can soon get good news, changes are being made in the PRS system regarding the operation of trains according to regular numbers and regular fares, so the railway passenger reservation system service will be closed for 6 hours at night for a week.
Commuters traveling by train are soon going to get good news because railways are showing signs of stopping the operation of special trains in the country soon and operating the trains as usual. According to the information, due to the introduction of special trains in the whole country after the corona epidemic, passengers were having to pay extra charge for their destination. Now that the situation of Corona is becoming normal in the whole country, then the Railways has also started its efforts on a war footing to end the special train operation system and conduct normal train operations.
PRS system changes
According to the information, changes are being made in the PRS system regarding the operation of trains according to regular numbers and regular fares. For this, the railway passenger reservation system has been closed for 6 hours at night for the next one week. This service will be closed from 11:30 pm to 5:30 am. According to the information received from the East Coast Railway, changes are being made in the PRS system for the operation of trains according to regular numbers and regular fares.
During this upgradation of system data and updating of new train numbers etc. will be enabled. Since a large amount of past (old train numbers) and current passenger booking data is to be updated in all Mail/Express trains, it is being planned in a series. This activity has started from the midnight of 14th and 15th November and will continue till 05:30 PM on 20th and 21st November. During the period of these 6 hours (from 23:30 to 05:30),
Inquiry services will continue uninterrupted
During this period the railway personnel will ensure advance charting for starting the trains during the affected time. Except PRS services, all other inquiry services including 139 services will continue uninterrupted. Train numbers will no longer start from zero, as was the case with special trains.
The process of converting special train numbers to regular train numbers has already been started and is expected to be completed within the next seven days. Hence, esteemed customers are requested to support us in our endeavor to normalize and upgrade passenger services.
