Insurance
When you book tickets through IRCTC website or mobile app, you are asked for insurance. If you take this insurance then you get many types of facilities. Under the insurance, a compensation of Rs 10 lakh is available in case of death or temporary disability in a train accident, while insurance coverage of 7.5 lakh is available in case of permanent partial disability.
At the same time, up to two lakh rupees are available for hospitalization and treatment during that time. Apart from this, insurance coverage is also available under theft, dacoity and the best thing is that you have to spend only 49 paise to get this insurance.
First aid box
If your health deteriorates while traveling in the train and you need medicine, then you can ask for the First Aid Box from the train TTE. This facility is given by the Railways to every passenger traveling in the train. But very few people know about this facility.
Wi-Fi
Indian Railways is slowly getting advanced. Along with this, it is giving many facilities to its passengers. Nowadays, WiFi facility is also being provided by the railways at the stations and that too free of cost. If you are at the station and waiting for the train, then you can take advantage of this special facility of the railway. However, let us tell you that this facility is not available at every station right now.
Waiting room
If your train is late during the journey, then depending on the class of the ticket, you can go to the waiting form and rest. This facility is given by the Railways to every passenger. If you have a valid ticket and the class for which you have a ticket, you can take advantage of it by going to the waiting class of that class.
Clock room
Clock room facility is also provided to the passengers by the railways. If you have a valid train ticket, you can use the cloak room at the station and deposit your luggage. Many times people are able to move around comfortably by keeping their luggage here when there is a time gap during the journey.
