This facility is running at New Delhi Railway Station. Along with this, preparations are being made to start this service at other stations including Old Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Anand Vihar Terminal. Similarly, this facility has been started in Mahamana Express running between Dibrugarh Rajdhani, Chennai Rajdhani and New Delhi to Varanasi. Seeing its result, preparations are being made to start it in 57 primary maintenance trains in Delhi Division.
Traveling with bed from home due to Corona
During the Corona transition, railway passengers have to travel with beds from home. Soon you will get rid of it. During the journey, the Delhi Railway Board has decided to provide sheets, blankets and pillows to the passengers as well as materials used to protect against corona. However, passengers will have to pay a fee for this.
Earlier there was facility to provide bed and towels
Bed and towels were provided by the Railways to the passengers traveling in air-conditioned coaches of Rajdhani and Humsafar and other express trains. This service has now been stopped to prevent corona infection. Because of this, passengers have to travel with sheets and blankets from their homes. This causes inconvenience to the passengers.
Request for re-start
Passengers are demanding to start this facility, but the risk of infection has not been averted, due to which the service of providing beds in the journey is not being started. In this situation, alternative steps are being taken to remove the inconvenience of the passengers.
Two sheets and blankets will be available for three hundred rupees
Along with all the major stations of Delhi Railway Division, work is being done in the direction of providing beds in trains for a fee. For this an agreement has been signed with a private organization. The packet of bedding available for three hundred rupees will have one blanket and two sheets. If the passengers want, they can buy the entire packet or one or two items according to their need. 40 rupees for a sheet, 180 rupees for blanket, 70 rupees for pillow. Passengers can take them home after the journey.
Oxygen cylinder and other materials will also be available
Along with the bed, material will be provided to the passengers to prevent corona infection. Passengers can also buy sanitizers, masks, face shields, hair caps, soaps and small oxygen cylinders.

Dimpy Garg, Railway Manager, Delhi Division said that this facility is being started keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers during the Corona transition period.
