Indian Railway : Indian Railways resumed bedroll facility in some trains in April after the Corona restrictions were lifted. At the same time, taking forward this link, IRCTC Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation of Indian Railways has decided to start bedroll facility in 7 more trains. This time, the railway authorities have planned to restore the bedroll facility in air-conditioned coaches of 7 trains. These are the trains which mainly cover long distance
Along with this, soon passengers will be able to avail bedroll facility in trains like Garib Rath, Kushinagar Express, Kashinagar Express, Panvel Express, Maurya Express and Dehradun Express. Please tell that the bedroll services were stopped due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
Bedroll facility will be started in these seven trains
- Train number 22537 and 22538, Gorakhpur to Bhopal Kushinagar Express
- Train No. 15018 and 15017 Kashi Nagar Express
- Train No. 15065 & 15066 Panvel Express
- Train No. 15027 and 15028 Maurya Express
- Train No. 15005 & 15006 Dehradun Express running from Gorakhpur Junction
- Train number 12535 and 12536 GARIB RATH EXPRESS running from Lucknow Jn to Raipur-Lucknow Jn
- Train number 12593 and 12594 from Lucknow Junction to Bhopal-Lucknow Junction
Bedroll facility was resumed in trains on
March 10 Due to this more than 15 lakh bedroll items were ordered including towels, blankets, bedsheets, pillow covers etc. In fact, 60 percent of linen services were damaged due to the pandemic. Due to the closure of the facility of free bedroll in the same trains, the facility of buying disposable bedrock was being given to the passengers traveling in AC coaches. Let us inform that now more than 90 trains of Northern Railway have started curtain provision, meanwhile, 26 trains have started linen and bedroll provision.
