After electrification, passengers can get cheap tickets during the journey. Along with this, railways will also be of great benefit. About 142 MW solar plants and about 103 MW wind power plants have been commissioned. Locomotives, Kolkata Metro rakes, Electrical Multiple Unit (EMU) trains, Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) trains as well as Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) based 3-phase systems are used.
75 cities will be connected
Along with this, PM Modi has said that by August 2023, 75 cities of the country will be connected with semi-high speed trains. Presently Vande Bharat train is operating on 5 routes of the country and soon the sixth train will also be flagged off. The country’s sixth Vande Bharat Express will run between Secunderabad (Telangana) and Jiyawada (Andhra Pradesh) stations.
Railway Minister has already given updates
The first update on this has been given by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. According to information received from media reports, passengers will get another Vande Bharat gift on the new year. As of now, its date has not been announced yet. Only after the work of upgradation of the track is over, the railway officials start announcing the dates.
