GM U Subba Rao of Integral Coach Factory, Chennai told Money Control that the first Vande Bharat Sleeper train will depart from the Bengaluru plant of Bharat Earth Movers Limited on September 20. This train will reach Chennai. After this, the final testing will be over in about 20 days. Then it will undergo high speed test for about two months. Then it will be ready to run in December.
Speed ​​will be 160 km per hour, floor will have LED lights
According to sources, this train will be like the trains running in Europe. Its floor will also have LED lights so that people can go to the toilet comfortably at night. This train will be able to run at a speed of 160 km per hour. It will have 823 berths. These will have 11 coaches of 3AC (611 seats), 4 coaches of 2AC (188 seats) and one coach of 1AC (24 seats). After this, BHEL-Titagarh will make 80 trains and Rail Vikas Nigam will make 120 trains and give them to the railways.
