New Delhi Special farmer train is going to start from Friday to transport fresh vegetables, fruits, flowers and fish from one end to the other in the Corona era. This first farmer train of Indian Railways will depart from Devlali (Nashik) in Maharashtra on August 7 and reach Danapur in Bihar. The train will return the next day with catering items.
In the coming time, this train will take things like grapes and onions from Maharashtra and will return from Bihar with paan, makhana, fresh vegetables and fish. After the joint effort of Indian Railways and Ministry of Agriculture, special farmer train is being launched.
This special parcel will be like a train. In this, farmers and traders will be able to load the goods as per their wish. Its freight will be discounted. After getting rid of the mess of the Mandi Act, through this train, farmers, artisans and other farmer organizations will be able to transport their produce from one place to another without any delay. The Kisan train will run from Devlali (Nashik Road) at 11 am on Friday and reach Danapur at 31.45 hours later. The train will stop at Nashik Road, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusawal, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Satna, Katni, Manikpur, Prayagraj, Chhiuki, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Nagar and Buxar Station.

This will benefit all the stoppage farmers and traders of the route. Initially, this train will be weekly, but Indian Railways has clarified that the trains’ trips and stops can be increased on the demand of the states. The Central Railway has urged all farmers, aggregators, market committees and loaders to come forward to take advantage of this train service.
The Ministry of Agriculture says that this effort has been made to double the income of farmers. With the help of the train, farmers will be able to earn more profit by bringing products like fruits, flowers, vegetables in a short time. The cost of transportation of trucks was also high with time. Train coaches will be like fridges. They will not spoil vegetables, fruits and fish. It will be cold storage running on the rail tracks. On Friday, this special farmer train will be flagged off by Agriculture and Railways Minister for the destination.
