IndiGo registers profit after three quarters

Let us tell you that IndiGo has recently registered a profit of Rs 1,422.6 crore in the December quarter after being in loss for almost three quarters. During the December quarter, increased demand for air travel helped the company come out of losses. Indigo had earlier reported a profit of Rs 129.8 crore in the December quarter last year. In the first and second quarter of the current financial year, the airline had reported losses of Rs 1064 crore and Rs 1583 crore, respectively.

On the other hand, IndiGo’s total income in the December quarter stood at Rs 15,410.2 crore, compared to Rs 9,480.1 crore in the same quarter last year. Indigo CEO Pieter Elbers said that this is the highest ever income and profit recorded by the company in a single quarter.

What the CEO of IndiGo said on the results

Peter Albers said, “Our performance in the third quarter was driven by strong air travel demand, both commercially and financially. In addition, we also took a number of innovative steps to increase earnings, which are now starting to pay off. ” He said, “We have a modern fleet of 300 aircraft. With its help, many more are going to cover domestic and international destinations. This will help us to increase our growth.”

Slight rise in shares today

Meanwhile, shares of InterGlobal Aviation closed at Rs 2,045.35, up 0.19% on BSE today. The company’s shares have declined by about 3.26 per cent in the last one month. At the same time, its price has decreased by about 2.11% in the last one year.
