IndiGo has informed about the change in terminal for flights departing and arriving from the capital Delhi. The company has issued an advisory for all passengers.
IndiGo, one of the leading airlines of the country, has made a big change for its flights at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA). The company said that from April 15, 2025, all flights to and from Terminal 2 will now be operated from Terminal 1. IndiGo also gave information about this through a post on the social media platform X, saying that now their flights will operate only from Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 in Delhi.
According to IndiGo, this change is being made due to maintenance work at Terminal 2. The company has advised passengers to check the latest information about their flight and terminal by visiting the IndiGo website. IndiGo has started selling flights from Terminal 1. But if Terminal 2 is written on your ticket, then definitely check the correct information of your flight with the airline.
Due to this change, there may be some changes in flight timings. IndiGo said, “We are sending information to passengers on their registered email and WhatsApp. Also, a list of those flights which have been transferred to Terminal 1 is also available on our website.” The company assured the passengers and wrote, “We will try our best to make your journey easy, comfortable and hassle-free. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.”

Terminal 2 will be rejuvenated
Delhi Airport is now shifting its services to Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Terminal 1 has a capacity of 4 crore passengers annually. On the other hand, Terminal 2 will undergo large-scale renovation and repair work. Its aim is to bring it to the level of Terminal 1 and 3. In future, it can be expanded for international flights or used for domestic flights.
New facilities like automated baggage kiosks, baggage handling systems and self-service check-in will be introduced in Terminal 2. This terminal is connected to the Delhi Airport Metro Line and is close to Terminal 3, which is the center of all international flights. At the same time, it takes 20-30 minutes to reach Terminal 1 by road.
