The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has released the proposed summer schedule. In this schedule, a direct flight from the city to Varanasi is going to be added, while the flight to Rajkot is going to be stopped. It is noteworthy that flight schedule is issued by DGCA twice a year. The first is from late March to late October, which is called the summer program. The second is from late October to late March, called the winter program.
DGCA receives proposals from airlines. Let us tell you that this includes continuing flights on various air routes, adding new flights and closing existing flights, on the basis of which DGCA issues the proposed schedule and takes approval from various airports and after that the final schedule is released. In the proposed schedule released recently, Indigo has proposed to start a direct flight from the city to Varanasi and has not taken time for the Rajkot flight. This schedule will come into effect from March 31 and will remain effective till October 26.
