Infosys New Announcement: Big news for employees! After TCS, Infosys' big announcement on work from home.

Infosys Work From Home Policy Update: TCS has asked more than 6.14 lakh of its employees to come to office, ending the WFH policy started after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Work From Home Policy: Nilanjan Roy, CFO of Infosys, the country’s second largest IT company, said that the company is currently not going to college campuses for new recruitments. He also said that the company will honor the job offer made by it. The company had given jobs to 50,000 youth last year. On employees coming to office and working, the company’s CEO Salil Parekh said that the number of employees coming to office and working is increasing. However, he said that the company wants to maintain flexibility in its functioning.

Lakhs of employees asked to come to office

The situation of Infosys is different from TCS in terms of employees coming to office and working. TCS has asked more than 6.14 lakh of its employees to come to office, ending the WFH policy started after the Covid-19 pandemic. Roy said, ‘Last year, we hired 50,000 youth fresh out of college. They were hired before the demand… We still have such employees… Of course, we are training them on AI etc. At present we are not going to the campus… We will look into this every quarter considering our future projections.

Recruitment will be done when the project arrives

He said that the company will honor the offers made regarding appointment and will also make recruitments when the project comes. On a question regarding the Israel-Hamas conflict, CEO Parekh said that all the company’s employees are safe in Israel. He said most of its employees in Israel are locals, but he declined to comment on the exact number of employees there. ‘We have business in that part of the region in Israel and…we are saddened by what is going on there. All our employees are safe.
