International Flights: Schedule international flights to and from India are going to start once again. The Civil Aviation Ministry said on Friday that it is going to start international flights once again from December 15.
Significantly, due to the Corona epidemic, scheduled international flights in India have been suspended since March 23 last year. However, under the air bubble system with about 28 countries, special passenger flights to and from India are being operated since July last year.
The civil aviation ministry has written a letter to aviation regulator DGCA asking it to take further necessary action to resume scheduled international flights.
International flights may start from December 15
The matter of resumption of scheduled commercial international passenger service to and from India has been examined in consultation with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and it has been decided in a statement. The scheduled commercial international passenger flight can be resumed from December 15, 2021.
After this, if a country wants to operate scheduled passenger flights to another country, then a bilateral air service agreement will have to be negotiated to decide how many flights can be allowed between the two countries.
DGCA released notification
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued a formal notification regarding the resumption of scheduled international passenger flights after receiving the aviation ministry’s letter.
The dangers of Corona will be taken care of
The Aviation Ministry said that countries that have been excluded by the Health Ministry from risk related to the corona virus will get the right to full capacity as per bilateral air service agreements.
In a circular on Friday, the Health Minister has placed European countries including the United Kingdom, South Africa, Brazil, Bangladesh, Bostwana, China, Mauritius, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Singapore, Hong Kong, Israel in the list of danger.
