Will interest increase again in SSY scheme?
The government had not made any change in the interest rates of Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana for the quarter from July to September 2023, but this time it is expected that the interest rates of this scheme will increase. At present, interest is given at the rate of 8 percent per annum. This scheme was started especially for the future of daughters. In this, an account can be opened for a girl up to 10 years and investments can be made for 15 years. The facility to withdraw 50 percent of the maturity amount when the account holder daughter turns 18 is also available in this scheme.
