New Delhi: IRCTC Confirm Ticket Refund Rules: In today’s era, every person has started booking tickets through IRCTC App. With this we are able to book tickets easily sitting at home. But many times it happens that after booking the ticket, we have to cancel our plan.
Now while canceling the ticket, it definitely comes to mind that how much will be the cancellation charge. How much refund will be given on canceling the confirmed ticket (Confirm Ticket Refund Policy). Let us know how much is the charge for the cancellation of the confirmed ticket.
Let us know the rules of cancellation of confirmed tickets.
- If the general ticket is canceled 2 hours before the departure of the train, then you will have to pay a fee of Rs 60 per ticket.
- On canceling the sleeper class ticket, you will have to pay a cancellation charge of Rs 120.
- Rs 180 will be charged for cancellation of AC Chair Car and Third AC (3 AC Ticket) tickets.
- On the other hand, on canceling the second AC ticket, you will have to pay Rs 200.
- If you cancel the ticket of First AC and Executive class then you will have to pay a fee of Rs 240.
- Let us tell you that on cancellation of railway AC class ticket, GST fee is also charged from the passenger. But you are not charged any GST on sleeper and general class tickets.
There will be such a reduction in ticket fee:
- In case of cancellation of tickets from two days to 12 hours from the time of departure of the train, 25% of the total ticket price will be deducted.
- If you cancel the ticket from 12 hours to 4 hours in advance, 50% of your ticket fee will be deducted.
- On the other hand, if you cancel the ticket within 4 hours, then you will not get any kind of refund.
- RAC tickets can also be canceled 30 minutes in advance.
- If you cancel the ticket in RAC sleeper class then Rs 60 will be deducted.
- If you cancel the ticket in AC RAC, then you will have to pay a fee of Rs 65.
