The Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi has given the gift of two MEMU trains for Ujjain, which will make two trips from time to time and whose fare will also be less, which will benefit the residents. In fact, on the occasion of Birsa Munda Jayanti Pride Day on Monday, 15 November 2021, PM Narendra Modi changed the gauge by pressing the button from Bhopal and electrified Ujjain-Fatehabad Chandravatiganj broad gauge rail section and Ujjain to Indore and Indore to Ujjain MEMU trains. Railway development works started. He flagged off the train from Ujjain to Indore.
Tried the Bhopal-Barkheda railway line, including the redeveloped world-class Rani Kamlapati railway station, the gauge converted and electrified Mathela-Nimarkhedi broad gauge rail section and the electrified Guna-Gwalior rail section and surrendered to the nation by pressing the button. .
On this occasion, Modi said that due to the commissioning of the new track, the residents of the area will be able to travel and transport their goods along with the journey. At the same time, there will also be a direct benefit of seeing Mahakal in the city of Lord Mahakal. Around 200 stations are being revamped across the country. The country is working on bigger goals.
The general public will be benefited more due to the expansion of the railways. The new track will provide convenience and time-saving to the passengers traveling on the railways.
Started again after 7 years
BJP MP Anil Firojia said that the Ujjain Fatehabad meter gauge was closed in the year 2014. With the efforts of the then Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, former MP Dr. Chintamani Malviya, Dr. Satyanarayan Jatiya, at that time the meter gauge was closed and the broad gauge was started. After that, I tried to start Ujjain Fatehabad Chandravatiganj Broad Gauge and today the auspicious occasion came, which Prime Minister of the country flagged off the train from Bhopal program.
Due to the commissioning of the railway line, the residents of the area will be benefited. Due to the closure of meter gauge, goods like milk, vegetables etc. were going to Indore. On the day Sendhwa line will be connected, then Ujjain will be connected with trains of South India. Time is saved due to short track.
Indore to Ujjain metros also considered
BJP MP Anil Firojia said that due to more development in the coming times, it will prove to be a milestone. MP Mr. Firojia said that the work of Dewas will also be completed from Kadcha. Fatehabad Chandrawanti Junction will also be expanded in future. In future, the work of connecting Ujjain-Jhalawar track will also be done. Efforts are also being made for this at a rapid pace. With the laying of a network of roads and railway tracks, Ujjain will develop more all-round.
Efforts will also be made for Indore to Ujjain Metro. The distance of MP gauge converted and electrified Ujjain-Fatehabad Chandravatiganj broad gauge is 23 kilo meters. Its cost is Rs 190 crore. With the introduction of broad gauge, the distance between Ujjain-Ratlam, Ujjain-Indore will be reduced and the residents of the area will get benefit. With its construction, passengers will be able to connect from South, West, Central part.

- Train No. 09351 – Ujjain – Indore – will leave Ujjain at 6.20 am and reach Indore at 7.55 am.
- Train No. 09352 – Indore – Ujjain – will leave Indore at 8.05 am and reach Ujjain at 9.40 am.
- Train No. 09353 – Ujjain – Indore – will leave Ujjain at 4 pm and reach Indore at 5.40 pm.
- Train No. 09354 – Indore – Ujjain – will leave Indore at 11.10 am and reach Ujjain at 12.45 pm.
