In view of this, Central Railway and Western Railway together have talked about running 312 Ganpati special trains before Ganpati festival. During this, 257 Ganpati special trains will be run from Central Railway and 55 from Western Railway.

Western Railway running 55 trains
Issuing a statement on behalf of the Railways, it was said that the Central Railway is playing an important role with 257 Ganpati special trains for the year 2023. The number of trains is 18 more than last year. Whereas, Western Railway is running 55 trains for this purpose. With this, the number of Ganpati special train services in 2023 will be more than before.
This time there will be 218 reserve services
In general, there is an increase in passenger traffic during Ganpati festival in Central Railway and Western Railway. The number of passengers is seen in trains connecting Mumbai to other states. It was told by the Railways that this time there will be 218 reserve services while in 2022 it was 262. On the other hand, there will be 94 unreserved trains this year while last year their total number was only 32.
According to the estimate made by the Central Railway, about 1.04 lakh passengers are expected to travel in reserved trains this year. This will generate a revenue of Rs 5.13 crore. This year, the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated across the country on 19 September.
