Indian Railways canceled 177 trains on Monday. Railways have cited operational and maintenance as the main reason behind this. IRCTC has given its update and released the list of canceled trains.
According to IRCTC, out of 177 canceled trains, 133 trains are scheduled to leave on 11 April (Monday). The remaining 46 trains have not been canceled completely , but these trains will remain partially cancelled. To get the refund of the ticket fare of canceled trains, the rules given by the Railways will have to be followed.
If the ticket refund is claimed within three hours of the departure of the train, then full money will be received. For this, the ticket will have to be surrendered at the railway counter. Railway passengers should note that if the Railway Administration is unable to provide seats or berths to the passengers having reserved tickets for any reason whatsoever, then no cancellation charge will be levied. If such tickets are returned for refund within three days, they will be given full refund of the fare. The ticket has to be surrendered within three hours of the departure of the train.
