Railways tweeted that, Indian Railways would like to make it clear that efforts are being made to increase the capacity to provide berths on demand. This will reduce the chances of passengers joining the waiting list. The Railways has no such plan to abolish the waitlisted ticket. Indian Railways is working on a plan to run demand based trones. The Modi government is preparing a plan for the National Rail Plan. Under this plan, Railways is planning to make changes in its infrastructure. There is a preparation to develop railway stations ranging from bullet trains under this new National Rail Plan. This plan will be tried to be completed by 2030. Demand is being fulfilled through cloned trains

Railways decided to run clone trains. Railways operate clone trains on routes where there is high demand for passengers. By operating clone trains on busy routes, the railway is giving relief to passengers from waiting tickets. At the same time, by 2030, the railway wants to increase its stake in the freight movement from 27 percent to 45 percent. At the same time, the railway freight movement is targeting to deliver 2024 million tonnes by 2024. By the year 2019, it was 1210 million tonnes.

Railways will spend 2.9 lakh crores

Railway Board Chairman VK Yadav informed the media about this and said that Rs 2.9 lakh crore will be spent on this scheme of Railways. For this, the railway will take suggestions from the stakeholders. Efforts are being made to finalize this plan within a month. He said that the Railways tried to reduce the operating cost. He said that the Railways had suffered heavy losses due to the Corona crisis.
