ISRO apprenticeship 2019 will be conducted for the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre through walk-in-interviews for 158 technician apprentice positions
ISRO apprenticeship 2019 for the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), which was postponed due to heavy rains in Kerala, will now be conducted through a walk-in-interview on 7 September 2019. There are 158 technician apprentice positions for which engineers with a diploma can apply. Technician apprentices will be hired for a period of one year from 2019 to 2020, and selected candidates will also get a stipend of Rs 3452 per month.
Who can Apply for the ISRO Apprenticeship 2019?
As per the official notification available on the VSSC website, candidates with a first class diploma of three years awarded by a state technical board or university in the streams of automobile engineering (8 vacancies), chemical engineering (25 vacancies), civil engineering (8 vacancies), computer science engineering (15 vacancies), electrical engineering (10 vacancies), electronics engineering (40 vacancies), instrument technology (6 vacancies), and mechanical engineering (46 vacancies). Candidates who have attained the diploma in and after the year 2017 only are eligible to apply. The upper age limit of the candidates is 30 years as on 16 September 2019, but the limit is 33 years for OBC, 35 years for SC and ST, and an additional 10 years relaxation for PWD candidates in their respective categories, says the ISRO apprenticeship 2019 notification.
How to Apply for ISRO Apprenticeship 2019?
Interested and eligible candidates will need to visit the VSSC pavilion during the centralised walk-in-interview, which is being arranged by Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT), Chennai and Supervisory Development Centre, Government of Kerala on 7 September 2019 from 9:30 am to 5 pm. Candidates will also be required to register their names at www.mhrdnats.gov.in or at Supervisory Development Centre, Kalamassery through their website www.sdcentre.org prior to the walk-In interview after which they can visit the VSSC pavilion at Government Polytechnic College, Kalamassery and submit their bio-data on the spot for the ISRO apprenticeship 2019.
