Top IT company Wipro is planning to recruit 10,000-12,000 freshers. The company has given this information in one of its reports. At the same time, Infosys has prepared to recruit 20,000 freshers in FY 2025-26. The company announced this recently.
During a press conference last Friday evening, Govil said that the company is re-evaluating its recruitment model to fit its employees correctly and improve margins amid declining layoff rates. Wipro’s recruitment plans have come to the fore after a period of slow recruitment and large number of layoffs in the IT sector.
Wipro Recruitment 2024-25
Wipro has set a target of hiring around 10,000 freshers in the current financial year. About 7,000 people have already been hired in the October-December (Q3) quarter and another 2,500-3,000 are expected to be hired in the last quarter of FY 25.
Let us tell you that the company had canceled the offer letters of graduates in 2022. When asked about this, the company mentioned the time gap between extending the offer and onboarding.
To maintain quality, Wipro restarted the assessment processes as well as skill development opportunities to prepare candidates for the industry. Wipro has also talked about incorporating AI in its fresher level recruitment, which is a change in its recruitment strategy.

Along with this, India’s second top IT company Infosys has informed that it plans to hire more than 20,000 freshers in FY26.
It is learned that Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is planning to include graduates in its team in the next financial year. However, in its last quarterly earnings report, TCS reported a decline of 5,370 employees.
