Now you have time till 30th November to file Income Tax Return. Apart from this, for those companies which need to get their accounts ‘audited’, the last date for submitting the audit report has also been extended by one month to 31st October.
Finance Ministry issued statement
The Finance Ministry said in a statement on Monday that the deadline for filing income tax return in Form ITR-7 for the assessment year 2023-24 has been extended from October 31, 2023 to November 30, 2023.
CBDT tweeted
Information about this has been given by CBDT by tweeting. CBDT has written in the tweet that the due date for filing Form 10B/10BB for the financial year 2022-23 has been extended till 31.10.2023. The due date for submission of ITR in Form ITR-7 for assessment year 2023-24 has also been extended to 30.11.2023.

E-filing desk also formed
Apart from this, let us tell you that the Income Tax Department has also set up an e-filing desk to remove the problems faced by taxpayers in submitting returns and to provide other assistance. The ministry said that overall direct tax collection for the financial year 2023-24 has increased by 18.29 percent to Rs 9.87 lakh crore, which was Rs 8.34 lakh crore in the same period of the previous financial year.
