ITR Filing: CBDT extends ITR filing date under AY 2024-25, check details

ITR Filing: The date for filing income tax returns for corporate taxpayers has been extended. The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has issued a notification regarding this. The date for filing ITR under Assessment Year 2024-25 has been extended. The deadline for transfer pricing certification in audit report Form 3CEB and Form 10DA has not been extended.

ITR Filing: The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has made a big announcement today. CBDT has extended the date for filing corporate income tax returns for assessment year 2024-25. Now taxpayers can file ITR till 15 November 2024. Earlier the department had fixed its date as 31 October 2024.

According to a notification issued by the CBDT, this extension under section 119 of the Income Tax Act, 1961, has been given to the taxpayers referred to in clause (a) of Explanation 2 of sub-section (1) of section 139, from October 31, 2024 to November 15, 2024.

This extension will not apply to other income tax forms like tax audit report, transfer pricing certification in Form 3CEB and Form 10DA. Its deadline will remain October 31, 2024 as before.
