According to the data released by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), from April 1 to November 30, the government has issued refunds worth Rs 2.15 lakh crore to tax payers.
66.92 percent more refund issued
This figure of refund is 66.92 percent more in the same period last year. Earlier, till October 8, 2022, Rs 1.53 lakh crore was issued as refund to tax payers.
Why did not get refund

- First of all, go to the Taxpayer Income Tax Department’s website www.incometax.gov.in.
- Now login with password after entering PAN, Aadhaar number or User User ID.
- Here go to Income Tax Return under e-file option. After this, select the option of view filed return.
- Now check the latest ITR filed and go to view details.
Your refund status will appear here. In this, you will get the information on which date the refund was issued or the date on which the refund will be issued.
