new Delhi. Taxpayers who regularly file their Income Tax Returns are now getting a notification from the Income Tax Department that whether their returns have not been filed yet? Every person with an annual income of more than 2.5 lakhs is required to file ITR. If any TDS is being deducted on his income or it is under the prescribed exemption limit, then relief can be given. The exemption limit for senior citizens is Rs 3 lakh. Whereas, for super senior citizens, this limit is Rs 5 lakh.
Will get the status of ITR filing
The status of ITR filing of taxpayers will also be there in the information sent by the Income Tax Department. For example, a taxpayer starts filing ITR online but leaves the process midway due to some reason. In such a situation, a message will be issued to those taxpayers from the Income Tax Department.
Most taxpayers file their ITR online. There are many reasons due to which the ITR filing of a person remains pending. A person may forget to file his return or leave the filing process midway due to want of more information.

>> Using generated EVC through Bank Account, Net Banking or Demat Account
>> With Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)
