Your PAN card will not be able to work from April 1
If you do not link your Aadhaar and PAN by the last date fixed by the government, then you will have to pay a fine of Rs 1,000 for this. On the other hand, those who have not linked PAN card with Aadhaar by 31 March 2022, their PAN card will become inactive from 1 April 2022. That is, they will not be able to use it.
How to link online
- First of all go to Income Tax website.
- Enter the name, PAN number and Aadhaar number as given in the Aadhar card.
- If only the year of birth is given in the Aadhar card, tick the square.
- Now enter the captcha code.
- Now click on Link Aadhaar button
- Your PAN will be linked with Aadhaar.
Link can also be done through SMS
To link through SMS, you have to first type UIDPAN on your mobile. After this, write the 12 digit Aadhaar number there. Then enter the 10 digit PAN number. After writing, send the message mentioned in step 1 to 567678 or 56161.
How to activate idle pan
Inactive PAN card can be activated. For this you have to do an SMS. You have to go to the message box and enter the 12-numbered PAN number from your registered mobile, after giving space, enter the 10-numbered Aadhaar number and SMS to 567678 or 56161.
