In which situation the bank account may have to be revalidated?
- If your bank has merged with some other bank.
- You have changed the bank branch.
- In case of change of bank account.
- If the bank account has become inactive.
- The IFSC code of your account has changed.
How to check validation status of bank account-
- For this, first visit the e-filing portal.
- Next, go to the profile and click on My Bank Accounts.
- Here you select the option of Revalidate.
- After this, enter all the information related to bank details.
- After this click on Validate button.
- After this, your new account will be validated within a few hours.
Refund money will not be available in these accounts-
While validating the bank account, keep in mind that the information related to the account you want to validate must have PAN related information required in this account. Along with this, it is also necessary to complete the process of nomination in the account. Refund money will not be received in the account in which PAN information is not entered.
