ITR verification rule changed: Important news! If you are SBI user then verify your IT return like this, know process

Income Tax Return Verification: The last date for filing Income Tax Return is near. That is, now you have to file ITR before 31st December (Last Date to File ITR). On the other hand, SBI has given many facilities for verification of income tax return filing. For this, you can take advantage of the net banking service of the bank.

SBI users benefit

• Login to your account on the Income Tax Filing website. Thereafter, click on “My Account” from the tab and from the drop down menu, select “e-Verify Return” option.
  You will see the list of ITRs filed on the screen. Here click on the button of “e-Verification”.
• Choose option 2 from several options. A box will appear and here select “Via EVC-Net Banking”.
• When you select the Net Banking option, you will see the steps for e-verification. Go through them to the bank and then click on the “Continue” button.
• As soon as you select the bank, you will see another screen. Here click on the “Continue” button. After this you will reach the login screen of State Bank of India.
• On this page you enter your username and password. After that click on Login button.
• On the dashboard, select “e-tax” and click on “direct tax” from the drop-down menu.
• Then on the next page, select “Login in e-filing / e-Verification” from the left side.
• Here on the login page, click on the “Submit” button. In 5-10 seconds, you will receive an OTP on the mobile number registered with the bank. Enter this OTP and click on “Confirm” button.
• As soon as you enter the OTP, you are redirected and logged into your account on the Income Tax filing website. Here select the option “e-verify return” under the tab “My Account”.
• Then on the next screen, click on “e-Verification”. A screen-blocker will ask for your confirmation for e-Verify return. Click on the “Continue” button here

After these steps, you will get a notification that your income tax return filing has been verified. In such a situation, you will be eligible to take advantage of all the services related to refund of income tax.
