Only 64 per cent of the eligible students have registered for jee advanced 2020 examination. Top 2.45 lakh candidates of JEE Main exam are eligible to appear for jee advanced exam but this time only 1.60 lakh students have registered for JEE Advanced. The JEE advance being conducted on behalf of IIT Delhi is to be held on 27th September. For which IIT Delhi will issue admission letters on 21st August. The examination will be held for admission to more than 11000 seats of 23 IITs across the country.
A senior professor from IIT Bombay said, “Most of the students who have achieved good marks for JEE Advanced have registered and who are confident that they will get admission in the IIT Institute of their choice. Students who feel that they will get admission in the nearest private engineering college of their home on the basis of common Entrance Test (CET) and 12th marks do not want to waste their time in preparation for JEE advanced. ”

Last year, out of the top 2.45 students of JEE Main, 1.75 lakh students registered for jee advanced exam for admission to IIT. Out of the top 2.31 lakh in 2018, 1.64 lakh registered and 1.71 lakh out of the top 2.20 lakh in 2017.
