Rapid Rail Ghaziabad: National Capital Region Transport Corporation has been given the responsibility of preparing DPR of the new route in two months. The project will cost around Rs 16000 crore. It will be completed in two phases.
Noida International Airport: Noida International Airport being built in Jewar is expected to start operations by next year. It has also become clear that the first IndiGo flight will take off from Asia’s largest Noida airport. Work is going on at a very fast pace at the airport and about 75 percent of the work has been completed. Along with this, preparations are going on to ease the access of passengers to the airport. Recently there was news that preparations are going on to build another road between Noida-Greater Noida.
The pressure of vehicles on the expressway will reduce
With the construction of the new route, the vehicular pressure on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway will be reduced and passengers will be able to reach the airport quickly. Now the efforts to connect the airport with rapid rail have also started. For this, a new route will be made from Ghaziabad. This line will be connected to Ghaziabad station of Delhi-Meerut RRTS. Its length will be about 71 km. Work on this is expected to start soon.

In fact, the plan for high speed connectivity for the airport being built in Jewar has not been progressing for the last three years. Earlier, a plan for high speed connectivity from Delhi’s IGI Airport was prepared. But it could not take off.
Feasibility report of both routes sent to the government.
Yamuna Development Authority says that if rapid rail connectivity is provided to IGI Airport, more passengers will come to the airport. But NCRTC has talked about connecting Rapid Rail with Ghaziabad RRTS. Now the feasibility report of both the routes has been sent to the government. The government has approved the feasibility report for providing connectivity to Ghaziabad RRTC. About Rs 9 thousand crore will be spent in the first phase. The money spent on the route will be spent jointly by the state government, central government and all three authorities of the district.
The route from Ghaziabad to Jewar Airport will be 71 km long.
The route from Noida International Airport connecting to Ghaziabad RRTS will be about 71 km long. This entire route will be elevated and it will have 11 stations Ghaziabad RRTS, Ghaziabad South, Greater Noida West (Sector-4), Greater Noida (Sector-2), Knowledge Park-5, Surajpur, Pari Chowk, Ecotech-6, Dankaur, Yida. North (Sector-18), Yida Central (Sector-21, 35), Noida International Airport (Jewar). Work will start from Ghaziabad side and 7 stations will be built in the first phase. The remaining 4 stations will be built in the second phase.
