After the approval to connect it with Delhi-Meerut Rapid Rail Corridor (RRTC), now there is news of Noida International Airport (NIA) being connected to the network of Indian Railways. After the airport is connected to the railway network, you will get a direct train to Mumbai or Kolkata after landing here.
Proposal to prepare 47 km long railway line
In fact, a proposal was made by the state government to connect NIA with Chola railway station of Bulandshahr. This railway station is on the Kolkata-Amritsar Eastern Freight Corridor. On the other hand, the government intended to connect the airport with Palwal station in Haryana, which is on the Delhi-Mumbai line. The proposal to build a 47 km long railway line to connect the airport to the railway line has received approval from the Railway Ministry. For this also the work of preparing DPR has started.
Import-export will get a boost with the laying of the railway line.
In the new 47 km railway line, a 20 km long railway line will be laid from Chola Railway Station to Noida International Airport. The remaining 27 km railway line will be laid from the airport to Palwal. Laying of this railway line will also give a boost to import-export. In the proposal sent by the Chief Secretary of UP to the Railway Ministry, it was said that the construction of the railway line is very important for the connectivity of the airport.
The second airport of Delhi-NCR.
It is necessary to connect this airport with the railway line because it is the second airport of Delhi-NCR. This will happen in the important area between Western UP and Haryana. North Central Railway is planning to connect the international airport at Jewar with a new station and connect it to the Delhi-Mumbai railway corridor with a 28 km long rail link at Palwal. From Jewar this line will move towards Khurja railway station, 33 km away on the Delhi-Howrah railway line. Apart from this, another 20 km long rail line will also be prepared to connect the proposed Jewar station to Chola on the Delhi-Howrah Railway Corridor.
