JioPhone 2, which has so far been available via flash sales only, will be available in an open festive sale.

This festive sale will be held on Jio.com starting from November 5 at 12PM and it will end on November 12.

The JioPhone 2 features a BlackBerry Curve-like design with QWERTY keypad, improved internals, and supports all the popular apps.

Here are the details.

Rs. 200 cashback being offered during the sale

The JioPhone 2 costs Rs. 2,999 and, incidentally, for this open sale, customers will have to pay an extra Rs. 99 for delivery, bringing the total cost of the phone to Rs. 3,098.

However, customers paying through their Paytm wallets will receive a cashback of Rs. 200.

Additionally, Reliance Jio has also added the cash on delivery option as a payment method this time.

Meanwhile, here’s a look at JioPhone 2’s specifications

JioPhone 2 sports a 2.4-inch QVGA horizontal display with a 0.3MP VGA camera up front and a 2MP snapper on the back.

The phone is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, paired with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB).

Notably, JioPhone 2 runs KaiOS which supports Google Assistant, YouTube, Facebook and WhatsApp.

JioPhone 2: Connectivity options, battery, and other features

The JioPhone 2 packs a 2,000mAh battery and supports 22 Indian languages. In terms of connectivity options, the phone supports dual SIM cards (Nano), 4G VoLTE, VoWi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, FM radio and can project content on any TV via Jio Media Cable (sold separately).

Popular apps offered and how to download them

WhatsApp’s recent addition strengthened the catalog of popular apps offered on the JioPhone and the JioPhone 2.

In December last year, Google launched Google Assistant for KaiOS, and Facebook followed in Google’s footsteps to launch its KaiOS app in February this year.

Google Maps was added in July, and YouTube came after that.

Users can download these apps simply from the Jio app store.
