JNU Admission 2024: Application Process Begins For MSc In Biotechnology, Computational And Integrative Sciences

JNU Admission 2024: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi has started the application process for admission into its postgraduate programs in Biotechnology and Computational and Integrative Sciences for the upcoming academic year.

JNU Admission 2024: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi has started the application process for admission into its postgraduate programs in Biotechnology and Computational and Integrative Sciences for the upcoming academic year. Admission to these courses will be based on the Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT-B) score.

According to the schedule, the deadline for online application submission will be June 27. The first merit list will be issued on July 8, and the last date for admission and registration will be August 14.

According to the JNU statement, there are 30 seats available in Biotechnology and 15 seats in Computational and Integrative Sciences.

“All candidates desirous of seeking admission in the M.Sc. programmes Biotechnology and (Computational and Integrative Sciences should submit their application online at JNU website. They must have appeared in the Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT-B), conducted by the Regional Centre for Biotechnology on behalf of the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India,” the university said in a statement, as reported by news agency ANI.

Applicants for these programs must submit their GAT-B registration number, GAT-B score, and rank. JNU will use the GAT-B scores to create a category-wise merit list of candidates qualified through GAT-B 2024 for admission to these programs.

For admission to the MSc in Biotechnology, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree under the 10+2+3 pattern of education in physical sciences, biological sciences (such as biochemistry, bioinformatics, biotechnology, botany, microbiology, or zoology), agricultural, veterinary, or fishery sciences, pharmacy, engineering/technology, or a 4-year BSc (Physician Assistant Course); or hold an MBBS or BDS degree, with a minimum of 55 percent marks.

For the MSc in Computational and Integrative Sciences, a minimum of 55 percent marks in a Bachelor’s degree in any branch of basic or applied science, or in technology, including medicine and engineering disciplines, is required.
