The Railway Minister said that the process of filling these posts is going on. The posts are filled up with the appointment of requisition letters as per the operational requirements. He informed that C and D grade posts are filled through selection in open market through Railway Recruitment Board and Recruitment Cell of Railway Zonal Railways.

According to the information given by the Railway Minister, after Northern Railway, South Central Zone has the maximum number of vacancies. There are 17022 entry level posts vacant. There are 15377 vacancies in Western Zone and 11101 posts in West Central Zone. In Eastern Zone, 9774 Entry Level Posts are lying vacant.
