A statement issued by the company said that these fulfillment and sorting centers will be located in Bhiwandi and Nagpur. This will support the local vendors of the state and will help in meeting the growing demand of the e-commerce sector. These facilities are located in an area of ​​7 lakh square feet. This will create 4,000 jobs directly and indirectly.

The company has classified Maharashtra as a major center in terms of supply chain. With these new facilities and expansion of existing facilities, the number of Flipkart supply chain facilities in the state has gone up to 12. These facilities are spread over an area of ​​23 lakh square feet. Out of these, more than 20,000 people are directly or indirectly employed.

The company has said, “The fresh investment will help in meeting the growing customer demand in the e-commerce sector in the state.” It will also help in supporting the seller ecosystem and stimulate the local economy.

Flipkart has said that the number of sellers in the state has increased by 30 percent in the last one year.

State Industries Minister Subhash Desai has welcomed Flipkart’s move to invest in Maharashtra.

Petrol demand above pre-corona level

Auto fuel sales in August this year appear to be reaching pre-pandemic levels. This is an indication that the economic situation in the country is rapidly returning to normal. The sale of petrol has exceeded the pre-Corona month already. While the sales of diesel also continued to rise steadily and according to the sales data till August 15, it has reached 92 percent of the pre-corona level.



State-owned oil companies sold 94 lakh tonnes of petrol in the first fortnight of August (1-15 August). It is 9.4 percent higher than the same period last year and 3.7 percent higher than the same period of the year 2019.
