How to link PAN and Aadhaar – To link PAN
- With Aadhaar, you have to go to the e-filing portal of the Income Tax Department. https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ Through this link you can directly go to the website.
- Apply now here. If you have already registered, please login.
- To login, enter the username, which will be your PAN number.
- Now enter the password and date of birth.
- After this a pop-up window will open, in which it will be written that link PAN with Aadhaar. Let us tell you that if this window does not appear on your computer screen, then you will have to go to the profile setting through the menu bar and click on the link Aadhaar.
- Here, according to your PAN details, the information of name, date of birth and gender will have been given.
- Now verify the PAN details with your Aadhar card and check whether the details are matching or not. After that enter your Aadhar card number and click on link now.
- After this process, a message will appear on your screen that Aadhaar-PAN has been successfully linked.
What will happen if PAN card is closed?
If your PAN card is closed or canceled due to any reason, then it can be revived. It must be kept in mind here that if you use a canceled PAN card, then it will be considered a violation of section 272B of the Income Tax Act. As punishment, you will be fined Rs 10,000. Whereas, if caught doing so for the second time, the fine will be increased.
