Kanya Sumangala Yojana: Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh is bearing the entire expenses from the birth of daughters till their marriage. Kanya Sumangala Yojana is being run in the state. State CM Yogi Adityanath has increased its funds in the next financial year. Now daughters will get Rs 25,000 instead of Rs 15,000.
Kanya Sumangala Yojana: Many types of schemes are being run by the Central Government and State Governments for daughters. Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana is being run by the Central Government. Ladli Brahmin Yojana is gaining a lot of headlines in Madhya Pradesh. In such a situation, Yogi government has started Kanya Sumangala Yojana in Uttar Pradesh. Under this scheme, daughters get Rs 15,000. But now the amount has been increased. Daughters will now be given Rs 25,000. State CM Yogi Adityanath had announced this.
With this scheme of the state government, daughters will not only get educated but will also be able to become self-reliant. This scheme has been started to provide proper place to daughters in the society. In this, the entire expenditure from the birth of girls till their marriage is borne by the state government.
Know how much money is available in Kanya Sumangal Yojana
Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided to daughters. Under the scheme, a package of Rs 15,000 was given in 6 phases. From next year, as soon as the daughter is born, Rs 5,000 will be transferred to her guardian’s account. Similarly, when the daughter is one year old, Rs 2000, Rs 3,000 as soon as the daughter goes to first class, Rs 3,000 when she takes admission in sixth class, Rs 5,000 when she goes to ninth class and if the daughter does any graduation or diploma or certificate course. So Rs 7,000 will be transferred to his account. Under this scheme, 2 daughters of the family get benefits. The government believes that with this scheme daughters will not have to face financial difficulties.
Who can avail benefits of Kanya Sumangala Yojana?
To avail the benefit of this scheme one must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh. He must have a permanent residence certificate. Ration card, Aadhar card, Voter ID card, electricity or telephone bill will be valid as residence certificate. The maximum income of the family should not exceed Rs 3 lakh. Accounts can be opened in the name of maximum 2 daughters in the family.
How to apply for Kanya Sumangala Yojana?
First of all visit the official website sky.up.gov.in. Click on Citizen Service Portal on its home page. After this a form will open in front. Fill whatever information is asked. In this, details like name, address, mobile number, parents’ name, Aadhaar number will have to be entered. Then press the submit button. An OTP will come on the mobile number. Enter that OTP in the form. After this your online registration will be completed. Now your User ID and password will be created. Log in again, upload your documents and submit.
