Now this limit has been increased from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. In the budget, the government has also made many more big announcements regarding farmers. These include Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana, help to 1.7 crore farmers from agriculture program, agriculture scheme to cover 100 districts with low productivity.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the goal of the National Mission for Edible Oil and Seeds is to bring self-sufficiency in this sector. Under this, a 6-year mission will be started to become self-sufficient in pulses. – Central agencies will procure tur, urad, lentil in the next 4 years. Makhana Board will be set up in Bihar to improve processing, value addition.
In the budget, the government said that agricultural district programs will be developed on the lines of the aspiring district program. Crop diversification, irrigation facilities, availability of loans will help 1.7 crore farmers. This scheme will adopt crop diversification, increase storage after harvesting.
