Kisan Credit Card: The central government will re-launch the KCC scheme to provide loans up to Rs 3 lakh. According to a report, the minister also said that under the PM Crop Insurance Scheme, about Rs 1.41 lakh crore has been distributed against the premium of Rs 29,000 crore.
PM Kisan Nidhi: Continuous efforts are being made by the Modi government at the Center to double the income of farmers. Under this, the government’s most ambitious scheme PM Kisan Samman Nidhi is getting tremendous response. Now another good news has been given to the farmers by the government. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has made a big announcement regarding this. During the launch of Kisan Rin Portal and door-to-door KCC (Kisan Credit Card) campaign, the Agriculture Minister said that the government will spend about Rs 20,000 crore on KCC loans.
Re-launch of KCC scheme
He said that the Central Government will re-launch the KCC scheme to provide loans up to Rs 3 lakh. According to a report, the minister also said that under the PM Crop Insurance Scheme, about Rs 1.41 lakh crore has been distributed against the premium of Rs 29,000 crore. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also participated in the program. During this, Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Ms. Shobha Karandlaje and Mr. Kailash Chaudhary were also present.
KCC campaign will run from door to door.
Let us tell you that ‘Kisan Rin Portal’ has been launched to avail subsidized loan under Kisan Credit Card (KCC). Door-to-door KCC campaign and manual of Weather Information Network Data System (WINDS) portal have also been launched. According to the Agriculture Ministry, the Kisan RIN digital platform provides a comprehensive view of farmer data, loan disbursement specifications, interest subvention claims and progress of scheme utilization.
About 7.35 crore KCC accounts:
It was told in a statement that till March 30, there are about 7.35 crore KCC accounts. Currently the sanctioned limit of loan on these accounts is Rs 8.85 lakh crore. According to the data, the government has distributed agricultural loans worth Rs 6,573.50 crore at concessional interest rates during April-August in the current financial year. Now to increase the benefits of Kisan Credit Card, the Central Government will use the data of PM-Kisan to reach those farmers who do not have Kisan Credit Card.
With this initiative of the government, it will be easier to reach out to those farmers who still do not have Kisan Credit Card. Through Kisan Credit Card, farmers get loan facility at concessional rates. The amount being allocated by the government for Kisan Credit Card is being increased by about two and a half times. Due to this, farmers will get direct benefit in the coming time.
