Twitter’s Indian alternative Koo said that it handled 54,235 posts from its users in June, while it received complaints related to 5,502 posts during this period. Ku said this in the monthly compliance report as mandated under the IT rules. Koo is the first social media platform, which has issued a compliance report under the new IT rules. Koo, which has added more than 6 million users, said its June 2021 report showed that its users complained about 5,502 posts, of which 22.7 percent (1,253) were deleted, while the rest ( 4,249) were taken against ‘other action’. Koo said it had proactively taken steps to control 54,235 posts, of which 2.2 per cent (1,996) were removed entirely, while the rest (52,239) were taken against “other action”.
