Investors have been waiting for a long time for the IPO of the government insurance company LIC. This share has been opened for anchor investors on 2 May. The IPO for retail investors will be opened on May 4 and will close on May 9.
Paytm IPO
Before LIC, this record is registered in the name of Paytm’s parent company One97 Communications. The total size of this IPO coming in November 2021 was Rs 18300 crore. The issue did not get a good response from the investors. The issue price was listed at Rs 1955 as against Rs 2150.
Coal India IPO
Before Paytm, Coal India’s IPO came in 2010. At that time this government coal mining company had raised more than Rs 15000 crore from the market. This IPO got tremendous support from the investors. The IPO was listed at Rs 288 with a premium of 17% against Rs 245.
Reliance Power IPO
Anil Ambani’s company Reliance Power came with an IPO in 2008. At that time it was the biggest IPO in the country. Its size was Rs 11,563 crore. The issue price of Reliance Power’s IPO was Rs 450, which got listed at Rs 548 with a premium of 22 per cent.
GIC IPO
The size of the IPO of GIC India, the government insurance company General Insurance Corporation India Limited, was Rs 11,176 crore in 2017. The issue price of this IPO was Rs 912 but it got listed at Rs 850.
SBI Cards IPO
SBI’s subsidiary SBI Cards has been listed in the IPO 2020 market. Through this IPO, the company had collected Rs 10,355 crore. The issue price of this IPO was Rs 755 but it got listed at Rs 658.
