New Delhi. Mini Ipe has recently taken over as the Managing Director of Life Insurance Corporation of India ie LIC. He was appointed as the Managing Director of LIC through a notification of the Government of India on July 5, 2021. Mini Ip is a Post Graduate in Commerce from Andhra Pradesh University and joined LIC as Direct Recruitment Officer in 1986. She has rich and varied experience of working in LIC in various capacities. Before becoming the MD of LIC, Mini Ipay was serving as the Executive Director in the legal department of the company. Mini Ip was the first woman Regional Manager of LIC and was the head of South Central Regional Office (Incharge), Hyderabad. He has been instrumental in taking LICHFL Financial Services Limited to new heights in business, revenue and profit during his tenure. He has also worked as the Regional Manager (Estate) and Regional Manager (C.O.W.) of the Western Region. He took over as the Managing Director of LIC on 2 August.
