LIC Fraud Alert: There is very useful news for LIC policyholders. Along with online fraud, incidents of fraud from policyholders have also increased. Meanwhile, many such cases have come to the fore in which fraudsters are calling the policyholders of LIC and posing as an officer of the Insurance Regulator (IRDAI) or an employee of LIC, in order to gain the trust of the customers. Actually, these fraudsters take the customers of LIC into confidence and then after getting information from them, they are stealing money from their accounts. In view of the frequent fraud cases, the country’s largest insurance company Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has issued an alert to protect its customers from this fraud.

LIC has told its customers that it never suggests surrendering any policy to any customer. The company has appealed to the customers not to take such suspicious calls, LIC says that customers should register their policy on the official website of LIC and get all the information there.

Cheating in the name of getting policy amount: LIC
LIC has also made a tweet to alert the customers, in which the company has said that all customers should beware of such phone calls which cheat customers by giving wrong policy information. Along with this, LIC officers are cheating the fraudulent customers by becoming IRDAI officers. Let us tell you that for the last few days, lakhs of rupees have been cheated in the name of getting the policy amount immediately.
How to complain about fake calls
If you need any information about the policy, then you can get information only by visiting the official website www.licindia.in . Do not get information about the policy by calling any number. If you get a call, in which you are asked for information, then in case of doubt, register a complaint with your nearest police station. Apart from this, you can report by sending this link to spuriouscalls@licindia.com . Apart from this, you can also lodge a complaint by emailing to co_crm_fb@licindia . By going to the website of LIC, you can complain there by extracting the information of Grievance Redressal Officer.
How to avoid fake call
1. Apart from this, do not talk much on any call.
2. Customers do not share any of their details.
3. Do not give information about surrender of policy to anyone. Apart from this, if someone talks about getting you more benefits, then do not give any information to him.
4. Never share your policy details or any other information with the caller.
