The special thing about this scheme is that women get money every month in it. Although this scheme has been started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. We will tell you about this scheme below.

    The name of this scheme is Bima Sakhi Yojana. This scheme has been started with the aim of empowering women.

    What is Bima Sakhi Yojana

    The target of Bima Sakhi Yojana is to include 100,000 Bima Sakhi within a year. Through this scheme, rural women will become insurance agents. On one hand, LIC’s Bima Sakhi Yojana is giving women an opportunity to earn. On the other hand, it will help in increasing awareness about insurance. This scheme will also make insurance accessible in the deprived areas of India.

    The aim of this scheme of LIC is to empower women as well as provide employment to women. It includes women whose age is 18 to 70 years and who have passed at least 10th class. LIC has set a target of enlisting 100,000 Bima Sakhis in 1 year and 200,000 Bima Sakhis in three years.

    What is the specialty of the scheme

    The Sakhi included in this scheme will get commission on selling the policy. Apart from this, a fixed stipend will be given in the first three years.

    LIC women will get a salary of Rs 7,000 initially. In the first year, Rs 7,000 will be given every month, then in the second year this amount will be Rs 6,000. Similarly, in the third year, this amount will become Rs 5,000. If a woman completes the target, she will also get extra commission. At the beginning of the scheme, women will also get special training and financial education for three years.

    How to apply?

    • Women aged between 18 and 50 years can apply.
    • It is necessary to have passed 10th standard at least to apply.
    • Rural women are given priority in this scheme.

    Let us tell you that relatives of LIC agents and employees are not ineligible. Application can be made easily by visiting the LIC portal.
