A mutual fund scheme of the country’s largest insurance company LIC has given great returns to investors. The minimum SIP investment in this is only Rs 1000. It tracks Nifty 500 TRI. In the last one year, LIC MF Dividend Yield Fund has given 60.25 percent CAGR return.

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is the country’s largest insurance company. A mutual fund scheme of LIC has given great returns to its investors in a short time. Its name is – LIC MF Dividend Yield Fund. The minimum SIP investment in this mutual fund scheme is only Rs 1,000. Its benchmark is Nifty 500 TRI. This scheme is for people who want to invest in the stock market, but do not have the right information. Investing in mutual funds not only gives good returns, but also adds the power of compounding. LIC’s MF scheme gave great returns

ET Now Digital analyzed the mutual fund data available on AMFI. This shows that many schemes in the dividend yield category have given good returns in the last one year. They have also been successful in giving good returns to their investors in the last 3 to 5 years.

LIC MF Dividend Yield Fund (Direct Plan) has emerged as the winner with a CAGR of 60.25 percent in the last one year. This scheme has left behind the benchmark return of 37.13 percent.

According to the previous returns of the mutual fund scheme, if an investor had invested Rs 10,000 every month through SIP for 5 years, his corpus would have increased to Rs 12,89,992. The annual return in this would have been 31.19 percent.

These stocks are among the top holdings of the scheme

The top holdings of LIC MF Dividend Yield Fund include HDFC Bank, Tata Consultancy Services, Reliance Industries (RIL), ICICI Bank and Power Finance Corporation.

Each of the top 5 stocks accounts for more than 2 per cent of the scheme’s assets. LIC’s Dividend Yield plan was launched on December 21, 2018. It has given a return of 24.85 per cent since its launch.
