Some fraudsters make calls to customers posing as LIC officers, agents or officers of the insurance regulator IRDA. In this call, he exaggerates the benefits related to the insurance policy. LIC has asked its customers to be alert. Customers should not share any kind of personal information with anyone over the phone. Apart from this, if any customer receives any deceptive calls, they can register a complaint by emailing spuriouscalls@licindia.com.

LIC has clearly said in the alert issued by it that customers should not attend phone calls from any unconfirmed number. LIC has suggested the customers to register their policy on the official website of LIC and get all the information there.
