EPFO on its official Twitter handle said, EPS’95 pensioners can now submit life certificate at any point of time which will be valid for 1 year from the date of submission. In December 2019, EPFO ​​made this change in the rules for submission of life certificate by pensioners.

The submission of Life Certificate or Jeevan Pramaan in the month of November every year by the Employees’ Pension Scheme, 1995 may be replaced by the system of submission of Life Certificate / Jeevan Pramaan after one year from the date of submission of last Life Certificate .

Pension will stop if you don’t do this

EPFO had said in a circular in December 2019, pensioners will have to submit life certificate / Jeevan Pramaan in the same month during the next year, failing which the pension will be stopped from the next month.

According to this rule, if an EPS pensioner had submitted his life certificate on December 15, 2020 last year, he will have to submit it this year on or before December 15, 2021, failing which his pension will be stopped. .

Pensioners are required to submit their Annual Life Certificate every year before the deadline to continue receiving pension. If they do not deposit before the last date then they will not get pension from next month.

Life certificate can also be submitted online

If you want to submit online life certificate sitting at home, then for this you will have to visit the portal of Jeevan Pramaan (https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in/). Now the Jeevan Pramaan app has to be downloaded. However, a UIDAI mandated device is required to complete this process. This process is completed with the help of finger print scanner. Keep the Aadhaar card with you while completing this process.

Life certificate can be submitted by visiting the bank branch

Life certificate is also submitted offline. Generally, the bank where your pension comes, you will have to go there and fill the life certificate form. Along with this, a copy of Aadhaar card and PAN card will have to be attached. After filling the form, submit it and your work is done.

Life certificate can also be submitted with the help of door step banking. DSB i.e. Door Step Banking is an alliance of 12 public sector banks. It has other government banks including SBI, PNB.
